West Ham transfer news: Manuel Pellegrini eyes FOUR new arrivals this week
WEST HAM could sign FOUR new players this week as Manuel Pellegrini continues to strengthen his new side.
West Ham transfer: Behind the scenes at Issa Diop's first day
The Hammers have already been busy since the Chilean's arrival in east London, bringing in Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop already this summer.
But as the World Cup comes to a close, West Ham are now ramping up their business with four potential deals in the works.
Jack Wilshere has passed his thorough medical at the club and put pen to paper on a three-year deal after his contract at Arsenal came to an end.
The midfielder had been linked with moves to Fenerbahce, Newcastle and AC Milan in recent weeks.
But Wilshere has admitted he's always been a Hammers fan and could sign later this week.
“My whole family were West Ham fans, I was a West Ham fan, still have a soft spot for them of course," he said.
“I used to love them. I had all the shirts."
Meanwhile, West Ham are chasing Paraguayan defender Fabian Balbuena.
Corinthians have already confirmed their defender will undergo a medical at the club later this week.
Balbuena's release clause is said to be around £3m.
West Ham are also continuing to seek a move for Lazio winger Felipe Anderson.
The Brazilian has been a transfer target for the Hammers since Pellegrini's arrival in May.
But talks have dragged on due to Lazio demanding a big transfer fee to compensate the club's failure to secure Champions League football.
Finally, the Times are reporting that West Ham are also in talks for Borussia Dortmund winger Andriy Yarmolenko.
The Ukrainian has previously been linked with a move to the London Stadium.
But it appears talks are advancing over a £17.5m move.
Dortmund are said to want Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha to replace Yarmolenko this summer.
