Torres' message to Griezmann reduces him to tears
The ex-Spain international left Atletico Madrid for the second time in his career at the end of his contract at the Wanda Metropolitano last month.
And there has been much speculation as to where Torres will go next in what could be the final move of his career.
The 34-year-old has been linked with Japanese side Sagan Tosu and MLS outfit Chicago Fire with it expected that he will leave Europe for the first time, as confirmed by his father in June when he said: “I am sure it won't be in Europe, it will be a long way away.”
Torres has confirmed via social media that he will make his desire at 8.30am UK time today from his gym in Madrid, 9Fitness, as he launches a new audiovisual book about his career.

The Australian A-League are also thought to have shown interest in helping secure a deal with Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC both linked.
It said that the Football Federation Australia would help contribute towards Torres’ wages to help attract a star name to the division having received a $3million purse from broadcasters Fox Sports.
The money is usually split across the league’s clubs, as it is in the Premier League with Sky Sports, but Fox want to bring in a marquee signing to boost the appeal and popularity of the competition.
But the Australian Associated Press expect the front-man to snub a move Down Under in order to move to the United States and play for Chicago Fire.
Torres was in advanced talks with Sagun Tosu to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Iniesta - who joined Vissel Kobe after leaving Barcelona - but negotiations collapsed over personal terms.
Chicago Fire are currently 7th in MLS’ Eastern Conference - a point off of the playoff spots - and Torres would be another big-name addition to the North American league after Wayne Rooney recently joined relegation-threatened DC United.
World Cup, Champions League and European Championship winner Torres scored 126 goals in 314 matches in an eight-year spell in England earlier in his career.
