Well, Southgate’s lookalike certainly thinks so!
Neil Rowe, a pilot from Surrey, grew internet fame following England’s quarter-final win over Sweden last Saturday.

Standing amongst the England fans, Rowe was pointed out by BBC Sport presenter Gary Lineker while wearing the increasingly popular waistcoat.
Many fans in Russia have since been asking for selfies and autographs from Rowe in the build-up to tonight’s semi-final against Croatia.

And in an interview with talkSPORT, the lookalike was jokingly asked if Gareth Southgate should be the next Prime Minister.
“Well I think the foreign secretary position has gone now, but we’ll see, maybe a knighthood,” he said.
“After Sunday, ask me that again.
“It’s all been a bit bonkers really this last couple of weeks.
“I think waistcoat sales will go even more stratospheric if I was Prime Minister.”
The real Southgate has naturally been tight-lipped about England’s chances of winning their first World Cup since 1966.
But his lookalike is certainly confident of where the trophy will be heading.
“Well, I tell you what, it’s coming home. It’s coming home,” he concluded.
