Jorginho to Chelsea: Man City 'furious' after Napoli BULLIED star into transfer
MANCHESTER CITY are 'furious' after Napoli scuppered their deal for midfielder Jorginho, a report has claimed.
The Italian officially signed for Chelsea on Saturday morning, just after Maurizio Sarri was unveiled as the Blues' new manager.
Jorginho had been expected to join City this summer after Pep Guardiola's long, drawn out chase of the Napoli star.
But according to the Manchester Evening News, the Serie A club ruined any chance of the 26-year-old moving to the Etihad by bullying their former player.
The publication claims Jorginho had agreed terms with the Premier League champions earlier this summer before Napoli intervened.
After agent Joao Santos had planned a medical for his client, Chelsea launched their £53m bid for the player which changed things.
The transfer offer was for Jorginho but also included £7m compensation for buying Sarri out of his Naples contract.
Napoli then reportedly contacted Santos to say if he did not accept Chelsea’s terms Jorginho would not be played for the remaining two years of his contract.

It is unclear whether City will turn their attention elsewhere after also missing out on Fred earlier in the summer.
The Brazilian joined Manchester United before the World Cup.
City signed Riyad Mahrez for £67m earlier this week.
