Chelsea transfer news: Maurizio Sarri warned over Real Madrid and Barcelona double deal
CHELSEA boss Maurizio Sarri cannot afford to lose the services of both Eden Hazard and Willian this summer.
That is according to former West Ham striker turned pundit Dean Ashton.
Both Hazard and Willian have been linked with moves away from Chelsea.
Real Madrid are the frontrunners to sign Hazard, with Barcelona keen on Willian.
Barcelona have already seen at least one bid rejected for Willian in recent weeks.
Willian’s just as productive as Eden Hazard. So you can’t lose them both
But Ashton claims the duo are as important as each other for Chelsea and they must not let them both leave.
“You can’t lose Hazard and Willian,” he said on Sky Sports News.
“I think Willian probably doesn’t get the plaudits that he deserves because Hazard at times does things that everyone loves to watch.
“But Willian’s just as productive as Eden Hazard. So you can’t lose them both.”
Chelsea: Hazard won't stay without new deal says pundit
Hazard fuelled speculation over his future on Saturday following the end of Belgium’s participation at the World Cup.
The forward said: "After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different. Certainly after this World Cup.
"I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision - if they want to let me go.
"You know my preferred destination.”
