Willian was keen to leave Chelsea when Antonio Conte was in charge at Stamford Bridge.
However, Conte was finally relieved of his duties last month and was swiftly replaced by Sarri in football’s worst kept secret.
Willian has reportedly returned to Chelsea training late following his break after the World Cup.

Hislop was asked whether a swap deal involving Willian and Manchester United winger Anthony Martial could happen.
But he was wary of Willian’s situation, where he reckons the 29-year-old may have a change in heart and want to stay in west London.
“It makes a whole lot of sense,” Hislop said of a potential swap.
“Martial wants out quite clearly.

“No question if Antonio Conte had stayed, I’m not sure how Willian stays on.
“Have things changed with Willian with Sarri coming in?
“Has that dynamic changed? You’d have to assume yes, right now.
“So Martial out yes, I’m not sure whether the other piece of the puzzle fits.”
