Man Utd news: Jamie Redknapp delivers brutal Chelsea verdict about Nemanja Matic
NEMANJA MATIC has held Paul Pogba back at Manchester United and is struggling to replicate his form at Chelsea.

That is the verdict of Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp.
After joining Manchester United last summer from Chelsea for a fee of £40million, Matic settled very quickly.
However, after the turn of the year, his form seemed to drop off as United finished 19 points adrift of Manchester City in the Premier League last term in second spot.
But Redknapp reckons United lack creativity and fluidity, because of Matic’s hesitancy in the middle of the park - something that N'Golo Kante at Chelsea doesn’t lack.

“I think Matic as good as he is, I think he takes too many touches at times,” Redknapp said on The Debate.
“It’s not easy to play alongside him.
“He wants to be that man and he has a lovely left foot.
“It’s not easy, because you want it to be quick as a midfielder.

Manchester United open their Premier League campaign at home to Leicester on Friday (8pm).
However, Jose Mourinho will be looking to strike a deal or two before the transfer window closes the day before.
