Rowing: Mark Hunter and Zac Purchase head golden team
OLYMPIC stars Mark Hunter and Zac Purchase headed a five-gold medal performance from the Great Britain team at the World Cup event in Munich yesterday.
Back in harness for the first time since winning gold in Beijing two years ago, Hunter said: “It’s exciting and it’s even a bit of a shock.
Three weeks ago I was injured and training on a bicycle. I can’t believe it.”
There were also golds for the lightweight men’s four, the women’s double scull of Sophie Hosking and Hester Goodsell and the two open weight double sculls pairs of Katherine Grainger and Anna Watkins and Marcus Bateman and Matt Wells.
