Fran Cotton is set to pick holes
FRAN COTTON has agreed to chair an independent review of the entire England structure at the Rugby Football Union, which will place fresh scrutiny on Rob Andrew’s role at Twickenham.
Former RFU vice-chairman Cotton will lead a two- or three-strong panel assessing Andrew’s report into England’s World Cup campaign.
The review will take place in November and report to the RFU on December 2. Cotton said: “We were knocked out in the quarter-finals and we played poorly throughout. It is a failure as far as we are concerned. It is difficult to understand what style of play this England team is all about.”
