Emma Raducanu pulls out of another exhibition match 'injured' days before Australian Open
Emma Raducanu withdrew from the Kooyong Classic where she was set to face Mirra Andreeva.
Emma Raducanu has pulled out of a final warm-up match before the Australian Open amid new doubts about her fitness.
The 2021 US Open winner played two matches in her first event since undergoing wrist and ankle surgeries at the ASB Classic in Auckland last week.
Raducanu, 21, had been scheduled to face fellow Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka in a charity match at Melbourne Park on Tuesday night.
But after the returning Japanese star pulled out as a “precautionary measure” and Donna Vekic was announced as a replacement, Raducanu also withdrew because she was feeling a “little sore”.
Now the former British No.1 has decided against playing an exhibition match on Thursday at the Kooyong Classic in Victoria against Russian star Mirra Andreeva.
Kooyong Classic organisers said world No.299 Raducanu had pulled out “due to injury”.

Sources close to the Raducanu camp claimed she is “good” and just managing her return to action after nearly nine months out. The former world No.10 missed the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open during her enforced injury layoff.
The draw for the first Major of the season will be held at 1pm on Thursday (2am UK time) before the first Sunday start on January 14.
