Wimbledon match interrupted by champagne cork landing on court
Harriet Dart's match with Bai Zhuoxuan was temporarily suspended
A flying champagne cork temporarily interrupted play on court 18 where Brit Harriet Dart is in action today.
A fan popped a bottle of champagne with the cork ending up landing on the court as Chinese star Bai Zhuoxuan was about to serve.
It led to the umpire to call on the ball girl to collect it leading to laughter around the court.
The incident comes just days after Dart called tennis an "elitest sport".
The cheapest bottle of champagne at the All England Club costs£92.30, while the most expensive will set you back £100.90.
Dart's point about tennis was made towards players and how lower-class families find it difficult to afford to play tennis.
But it will also go to the fans, who must pay high prices to watch from the grounds.
"I think it’s better for the public," she said. "The spectators enjoy watching both women and men. You see this at Grand Slams, and the big Masters tournaments.
"If we’re able to change anything, especially at these female-only events, in my opinion I think tournament organisers should have to do better in approaching schools and other people to be able to give them opportunities to come and watch for free.
"Because tennis unfortunately, as much as everyone wants to say it’s not an elitist sport, it is.
"At the end of the day, it’s a very expensive sport and it’s very difficult to get into."
