Yulia Putintseva demanded that her press conference be over immediately after she was thrashed by Jelena Ostapenko 6-2, 6-3 at Wimbledon on Monday. The Latvia tennis star was extremely animated during their fourth-round loss and was in no mood to explain her performance.

Putintseva shocked world No.1 Iga Swiatek in the third round but was no match for 2017 French Open champion Ostapenko.

As she arrived in the SW19 Media Theatre to fulfil her obligatory press conference, she made her feelings known that she would not be answering many questions.

And in the end, she spoke just a measly 39 words after facing four questions.

Q. How much did the last game affect you mentally today? Had it taken a lot out of you mentally?

YULIA PUTINTSEVA: Not at all. What can it affect? Why should it affect me if it was three days ago?
