ROMAN REIGNS seems to have thrown shade at UFC legend Conor McGregor as he claimed he would be a perfect fit for the cruiserweight division in 205 Live.
Conor McGregor enjoys cocktails after retirement announcement
McGregor announced his retirement from MMA on Tuesday and many want to see him following in the footsteps of fellow legendary fighters Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey.
Lesnar and Rousey left Dana White’s promotion and are now two of WWE’s biggest star attractions as they are dominating in the ring and draw a huge audience.
However, The Notorious hasn’t revealed the reasons behind his retirement and has yet to clarify his next ventures.
McGregor said: “Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
Man, we got the best spot on 205 Live
“I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
“I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.
“Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!”
Many fans would love to see him joining WWE and sharing the ring with some of the biggest heavyweights like Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley and even Lesnar.
Reigns, though, ironically claimed that the ex-UFC Featherweight and Lightweight Champion would be better off with the cruiserweights in 205 Live.
Reigns told ESPN: “Man, we got the best spot on 205 Live.
“He is a cruiserweight, no doubt, and we’ll let him go in there and flip with all those guys.”
McGregor has thrown shade in WWE as well in the past and that caused a lot of reaction from professional wrestlers and fans.
The Irish superstar described WWE athletes as “messed up p*****s.”
