Research from the team at Post Office Travel Money has unveiled the best-value summer city breaks for British tourists.
A new survey from the expert team at Post Office Travel Money has unveiled the cheapest city break destinations for British tourists in 2024.
While many of the cities in the top 10 are Eastern European hotspots, tourists might be surprised to see a couple of the continent's biggest destinations in the top ranking.
The team looked at the average cost of a cup of coffee, a bottle of beer, a glass of wine and evening meal and hotel accommodation to find the cheapest spots.
The cheapest destination cost under £250 for a weekend for two making it a fantastic bargain choice for deal-hunting Britons.

10. Warsaw - £319.42 for a weekend
The Polish capital is one of this year's best-value city breaks with the average cost of a weekend away coming to just £319. The city's old town is one of its top attractions while a visit to a top museum will set you back less than £6.50.
9. Prague - £318.43 for a weekend
The Czech capital was slightly cheaper than Warsaw for a weekend away at just £318. A three-course meal with wine came to under £35 in Prague while two nights' accommodation at a three-star hotel was just £154. Prague's Gothic architecture is incredibly unique.
8. Bratislava - £315.57 for a weekend
Slovakia's capital city is something of an underrated destination but it's got a pretty old town and far fewer crowds than some other European hotspots. A cup of coffee came to just over £2 while a glass of wine was under £4 in Bratislava. After you've explored the city, hop on a short train to Vienna to tick off the Austrian capital too.
7. Budapest - £310.87 for a weekend
Budapest is one of Europe's cheapest city breaks cpoming to just over £300 for a weekend away. A bottle of beer cost just £3.28 while a three-course evening meal for two came to £63.67. The Hungarian capital is one of Europe's best spa spots with its famous thermal baths a must-do.
6. Riga - £297.20 for a weekend
Riga, the Latvian capital, came to under £300 for a weekend away. A visit to a top museum in Riga cost just £4.42 while a glass of wine also came to under £5. Riga also has a bustling food market where tourists can sample local cuisine.
