Travel fans are loving Antler’s “lightest” cabin case that comes with a lifetime warranty. The classy luggage brand says the £170 Soft Stripe case is “ideally sized for shorter stays and spontaneous getaways within European airline luggage restrictions” with its hassle-free design.

The case is made from recycled lightweight polyester and features deep, spacious compartments and internal pockets to make sure you have plenty of space to play with and maximise. The adjustable handle and 360 spinner wheels mean it’s nice and easy to navigate through an airport or train station.

The Soft Stripe also comes in medium or large sizes. Reviewers have been full of praise to date, with the product averaging the full five stars.

One said: “First trip using these cases to London from Glasgow, by rail this time. Usually for a short trip I’d pack one suitcase for both of us, but after hauling our (albeit quality) usual trusty case I bought 2 cabin size Soft Stripe Antlers. I can’t believe how much I got in there! They are a dream to handle! No more stiff shoulders. No big flashy logos.”

Another added: “Bought as a present for my wife, who has long had a similar case, this cabin (bag) is exquisitely made and far classier looking than the average clam clutch. It moves beautifully and the locking system seems very secure and straightforward. Importantly, she loves it and no doubt we’ll add more in the fullness of time.”

A third said: “Rolls Royce movement, perfect size with ample pockets.”

But not everyone was overwhelmed. One reviewer gave four stars due to an issue they found with a lack of handle, adding: “There needs to be a second properly accessible handle on the side so that lifting the case into overhead lockers on the aircraft is facilitated.

"The extension handle seems a little flimsy and could do with being more substantial for the money.” Elsewhere, Amazon has some affordable cases, like the LUGG 20 Inch Jetset Lightweight Travel Carry On Suitcase that’s £33.99.

If you’re keen on an option that falls in between the price range of the Amazon case and Antler then the IT Hard Expandable 8 Wheel Cabin Suitcase is worth checking out. It’s priced at £60 on Argos’ website.
