Photographer Brian Cattelle captures the haunting images in an attempt to capture the contrast of natural beauty and manmade decay.
Brian, who was once homeless himself, explains the idea came to him in 2014 when he was photographing abandoned locations.
He says: “One day I was exploring a place with a friend of mine and I turned to see him standing in a shaft of light coming in through the roof. I thought it was a cool picture, but it would be even better if he was a naturally beautiful nude women.”
Brian, 33, set off on his travels on June 28 2014 and completed the series with a final shoot in Hawaii, in November 2015.
He travelled around the US in his 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe and even slept in the back by adding a mattress.
The photographer initially tried to recruit female models from Craigslist but had little success.

He eventually contacted model sourcing site Model Mayhem, where only 10 per cent of the models he reached out to responded.
Brian says: “It takes a very courageous model to consider venturing into a creepy abandoned building, naked, with a stranger.
“Try telling your mum you’re going to travel the country and take photos of nude women in abandoned buildings.”
He added: "I just happened to be in a place in my life where I really believed I could do it, so I set out to do it and just didn't stop, no matter what."
