Steven Seagal returns to theaters with a bang in his new super action flick, Exit Wounds. Seagal plays Officer Orin Boyd, a tough inner city cop who discovers a huge web of police corruption and dirty work in his own precinct. Teaming up with a mysterious crimelord sidekick (rapper DMX), Boyd then sets out to do what all Seagal characters do best: save the day and kick some major behind. The film is far more than a mindless violent romp, however, as it features many beautifully choreographed action scenes and teaches some valuable lessons with regards to the meaning of friendship, social awareness, and overcoming obstacles. An excellent return to form for one of the past decade’s top action heroes.
