More Superman Casting Rumors

UrsaSuperman movie news is once again the hot topic around Hollywood, and over the weekend Latino Review broke out with a big story claiming the three ladies (Alice EveRosamund Pike and Diane Kruger) who were up for a "female lead" role weren’t love interests, but rather auditioning for the part of Ursa, a female villain who’s known for hanging around General Zod. Fans of the Superman movie franchise will remember Ursa from Superman 2, where she was played by Sarah Douglas.

No word on whether that means General Zod will also be in the film. Director Zack Snyder had previously gone on record as saying Zod would not be in the film, but he may have been simply throwing folks off his scent for the time being. We’ll say that it’d be mighty interesting if Ursa was the film’s main villain instead of Zod, but our hunches tell us they’re quietly looking to cast Zod right now.

Could Batman Have a Sidekick?

Another huge rumor making its way around the internet today includes The Dark Knight Rises and a certain character from Batman’s past that may poke his head back in. Yup, we’re talking about Batman’s iconic sidekick Robin. According to a TV station in Michigan, producers from the film were there scouting locations for what they call 'Robin’s hideout."

Seems a little suspicious, especially since it’d be weird for Robin to have his own hideout, and also because Christopher Nolan has gone on record saying he’s not including Robin in the film. Then again, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was just added to the cast, so perhaps he’ll be playing either Robin or a character like that who Batman can pass the torch to once he’s done with his crime fighting ways? What do you think?

Shawn Levy to Direct James Cameron-Produced ‘Fantastic Voyage’ Remake

Night at the Museum director Shawn Levy has been brought on by 20th Century Fox to direct a remake of the 1966 sci-fi film Fantastic Voyage, which will be produced by James Cameron and delivered to us in 3D. The 2013 film will probably follow somewhat closely to the original tale of a submarine crew that’s shrunken to microscopic size so that they can be injected into a dying diplomat in an attempt to save his life.

Hey, if anything the 3D should be great, and maybe we’ll learn a thing or two about the awesomeness within our own bodies.
