Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters: In response to recent rumors, Ghostbusters producer Ivan Reitman says: "There is only one new Ghostbusters movie and that is the Paul Feig-directed version coming next July, presently filming and going fantastically. The rest is just noise." Of course, Reitman himself stoked the fires by talking about expanding the Ghostbusters universe back in March, but now it seems he wants to keep the focus on Feig's movie. For the record, writer Drew Pearce says that he came up with "a gigantic bold idea" for a sequel featuring a "mixed-gender team." [Hitfix/Empire]

 

Daniel Radcliffe

Imperium: Daniel Radcliffe will star in Imperium as an undercover agent for the FBI. Based on a true story, the agent investigated gangs of white supremacists and their attempts to make a dirty bomb. Daniel Ragussis will make his feature directorial debut; he cowrote the script with Michael German, the real-life agent. Production is scheduled to begin this fall. [Deadline]

 

Black Mass

Black Mass Trailer: Johnny Deep looks incredibly menacing as notorious real-life Boston gangster Whitey Bulger in a new trailer for Black Mass. Bulger's ruthless rise to the top of the criminal heap was aided by a corrupt FBI agent (Joel Edgerton); Benedict Cumberbatch plays Bulger's politician brother. The all-star supporting cast includes Peter Sarsgaard, Corey Stoll, Jesse Plemons and Kevin Bacon; the movie opens in theaters on September 18. [Movieclips]
