Up: The real-life story of Edith Macefield is heading to the big screen. She became famous when she declined to sell her Seattle home to real-estate developers, forcing them to build their five-story shopping mall around her house, much like what happens in Pixar's Up. The movie version will focus on the relationship that developed between Macefield and Barry Martin, the superintendent of the mall shopping project, who visited her daily during construction.
