The Girl on the Train: Haley Bennett (The Equalizer) has nabbed a key role in The Girl on the Train, the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the best-selling novel by Paula Hawkins. The psychological thriller is thrown into motion when a passenger on a commuter train (Emily Blunt) notices that a woman with whom her husband had an affair (Bennett) has gone missing. Edith Macefield home in Seattle

Up: The real-life story of Edith Macefield is heading to the big screen. She became famous when she declined to sell her Seattle home to real-estate developers, forcing them to build their five-story shopping mall around her house, much like what happens in Pixar's Up. The movie version will focus on the relationship that developed between Macefield and Barry Martin, the superintendent of the mall shopping project, who visited her daily during construction. The Martian TV Spot: Matt Damon stars in Ridley Scott's The Martian, which has quickly become one of this fall's most anticipated titles.
