The day (most) of you have been waiting for has finally arrived. Some folks say nothing fun ever happens on a Monday, but don’t tell that to Disney since they chose today as the day to debut the first trailer from the next Pirates of the Caribbean adventure: On Stranger Tides.
In the film, due out May 20th, Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow, minus his previous cohorts Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley. But it’s cool, because on this latest adventure – which follows Captain Jack on a quest to locate the elusive Fountain of Youth – he’ll be joined by his old reliable nemesis Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), the beautiful (yet mysterious) Anjelica (Penelope Cruz) and the devilishly dangerous Blackbeard (Ian McShane).
Based on this first trailer, the fourth installment looks to bring back all the hijinks and adventure that helped us fall in love with the first three, only this time it’s more contained and perhaps easier to digest.
