While the world awaits concrete news regarding the third Batman movie (of this particular franchise), we’ll have to settle for somewhat boring non-news quotes from actors and actresses who may or may not be a part of the next installment. Image
While speaking with Christian Bale recently, Total Film learned the guy is donning the Bat-suit once again, regardless of whether Christopher Nolan returns to the director’s chair. Why? Because it’s in his contract.

He says, "Will we do a third movie? It's got to be the right story. You can't make something like The Dark Knight and then come out with something disappointing. "I would like it if people say, 'You'll never make a good third movie.' I say, 'OK, let's make a third movie in that case, let's prove them wrong. But that's just me. The fact is, I have to! I've signed up! Chris doesn't. So I'm in a bit of a fix if he says he doesn't want to!"

Goonies Never Die … Except Maybe Now They Have

Remember, I told you today is all about the sequels – and here’s another film from our past whose sequel is being brought up in interviews. As part of Empire magazine’s 20th Anniversary Issue, they – along with guest editor Steven Spielberg – reunited the cast of Goonies and asked some of them whether there would ever be a Goonies sequel.

Fortunately for those who don’t want them going near this film for a sequel (including me), it doesn’t seem like there will be one anytime soon … if you talk to director Richard Donner. He says there’s “no hope” for a sequel, and while they tried to pull one together, it never seemed right. "We tried for a long time. Steven and I had many meetings with writers but nothing stuck. It seemed disrespectful."

But Goonies Corey Feldman and Sean Astin seem to think there might be a sequel at some point down the road. Astin notes, “A year from now, 10 years from now, 50 years from now, I'm absolutely convinced there'll be one. We'll figure it out. A sequel could be great.” Feldman added, “There’s always hope.”

Ricky Gervais Finds Life in 3-D Very Animated

He starred in “The Office” (British version), HBO’s “Extras” and a few different big-screen comedies, and now comedian Ricky Gervais is taking his wry sense of humor to the animation world with a 3-D adaptation of his own children’s book series. Flanimals tells of a group of alien animals so ugly and annoying that they almost become likeable.

Apart from writing the books, Gervais will also voice the lead role, a pudgy, sweaty purple monster named Puddy the Puddloflaj. Matt Selman (“The Simpsons”) will script.
