JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Jackson State football’s offensive coordinator this past season becomes the latest staffer to leave the program after spending just one year at JSU.

The Tigers’ defensive line coach and defensive coordinator Jonathan Bradley and co-offensive coordinator and O-line coach Jason Onyebuagu recently left Jackson State for jobs at South Alabama.

WLBT can confirm Maurice Harris is leaving the program to reunite with longtime friend head coach Hugh Freeze at Auburn.

Harris will be Auburn’s next director of football and recruiting relations.

While at Jackson State, Harris called plays for an efficient Tigers’ offense that ranked first in the SWAC in total offense, second in passing yards, and third in rushing yards. JSU averaged 27.3 points a game.

Harris has been a member of Freeze’s backroom staff at Liberty and most notably Ole Miss before his stop in the capital city.
