Coastal Alabama Community College announces new VP

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Coastal Alabama Community College has announced Dr. Lonnie Burnett as its new vice president.
Burnett, who has served as the University of Mobile’s fifth president since 2019 and who has dedicated over 40 years to education in southwest Alabama, will officially join Coastal Alabama Community College in June.
According to a release, Burnett has an impressive record of scholarly research, has written two books, published several articles, book chapters, and book reviews. He has also been a presenter at numerous academic conferences.
