Alabama back-to-school sales tax holiday weekend set July 19-21

(WALA) - Alabama’s annual back-to-school sales tax holiday is coming up this weekend.

This year, the holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 19 and ends at midnight on July 21.

This annual event gives shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain school supplies, computers, books and clothing, free of the state’s sales or use tax.
