BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) - Saturday saw Day 2 of the 98th annual Barbecue & Blues Festival underway at the St. Rose de Lima Catholic Church.

Music filled the streets of Bay St. Louis as the band Assumed Risk took to the stage. The event hosted entertainment for all ages, complete with a pottery wheel and games for children.

However, St. Rose de Lima members say it’s their famous ribs that steal the show.

“The food is good, the music is good,” said Glenda Schornick. “It’s a great place to be at St. Rose de Lima when you want to go somewhere and enjoy the music too at the church for the gospel choir.”

Organizers say they’re already planning for next year as well as the centennial in 2026.
