16-year-old arrested in connection to deadly Prichard shootout

PRICHARD, Ala. (WALA) - FOX10 News has learned a 16-year-old Mobile boy has been arrested in connection to one of the deadly shootings in Prichard on Sunday, June 30.
Prichard PD said the teen fired shots during a shootout in the 200 block of Meaher Street, but he wasn’t the gunman who killed Asa Jones.
The 16-year-old is charged with first-degree robbery and discharging a firearm.
Police can’t release the teen’s name under Alabama law, even though he’s charged as an adult.
The shooting was the first of two homicides that occurred that night.
