Baldwin County man arrested on child porn charge for 2nd time in less than a year, authorities say

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - A Baldwin County man is being held without bond after being arrested for a second time in less than a year on charges of possession of child pornography.

Thirty-six-year-old Logan Allen Smith appeared in a Baldwin County court for a bond hearing today on four new counts of possession of child pornography. Bond was denied.

Smith was arrested Tuesday after Baldwin County sheriff’s investigators say their cybercrimes unit suspected foul play and got a search warrant for his house.

Prosecutors say more than 200 explicit images were found on his computer.

At the time of his arrest on Tuesday, Smith was out on bond for four previous charges of possession of child pornography, according to authorities.

Investigators say they don’t believe any of the victims to be from this area.
