(WALA) - High temperatures will quickly rise into the 90s on Sunday afternoon. It will also be very humid, and heat indices will soar to near 105-110 degrees. The heat will subside in the evening, with temperatures dropping into the 80s and then the upper 70s.

Rain chances Sunday are around 50%, with the highest likelihood in the afternoon. We expect morning showers at the coast, and more storms are expected later in the afternoon. If you have outdoor plans, keep a close eye on the radar with the FOX10 Weather app. As always, if you hear thunder, head inside!

THE NEXT FEW DAYS:

High temperatures will stay in the mid-90s for the next few days. Be ready to deal with the heat with whatever outdoor plans you have. We do see some relief in the long-range forecast, with higher rain chances coming our way midweek next week.

At the beaches, we maintain a low risk of rip currents and an extreme UV index.
