ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) - Florida State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden announced today that the Grand Jury for Escambia County has issued an indictment today against Jaquaris Ethridge for the drive-by shooting that occurred on Erress Blvd. on June 24.

The shooting resulted in the death of a 70-year-old victim, Myra Hayes.

Ethridge is now formally charged with first-degree premeditated murder, shooting at or into a building, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer at high speed and possession of a firearm by a convicted delinquent under 24 years of age, according to the state attorney.

Etheridge is scheduled for arraignment on July 19. He is being held without bond due to a pretrial detention order issued by Circuit Court Judge Coleman Robinson, according to officials.
