ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) - The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 25-year-old man on drug charges after a crash on Monday.

Tremaine Presley face 11 charges in connection with the incident.

According to the ECSO, a deputy witnessed a Dodge Durango allegedly driving recklessly before it collided with another vehicle at Beverly Parkway and North Palafox Street. The man, later identified as Presley, reportedly tried to make a run for it after the crash but didn’t get far before being caught.

The ECSO said Presley was found with 200 grams — just over 7 ounces — of methamphethamine, a stolen handgun and other various narcotics.

The ECSO said the traffic accident will be investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol who will determine possible crash-related charges.
