MPD: Man cut during attempted robbery at ATM

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A man using an ATM was cut by a suspect during a robbery attempt early this morning, Mobile police said.
Officers responding to the PNC Bank at 5351 U.S. 90 around 7 a.m. found a man with several cuts, according to the Mobile Police Department. The man said that while he was withdrawing money from the ATM, a known person approached him and demanded money, police said.
During the confrontation, the suspect cut the victim with a sharp object but didn’t get any money and left the are before officers arrived, MPD said.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
The investigation in ongoing.
