Numerous showers and thunderstorms likely over the weekend

(WALA) - Expect numerous showers and thunderstorms over the weekend, with the wet weather pattern in place. Showers and thunderstorms will be isolated at night, but will fire up along the coast line around daybreak each morning. These storms will generally work their way inland in the afternoon. We have a rain chance at 80% but Saturday and Sunday.
Having the storms around will keep our temperatures lower. Daytime highs will be in the upper 80s in most spots.
At the beaches, watch out for a lightning around thunderstorms. The rip current risk will remain low.
The tropics are quiet. In the long range, we do see rain chances staying fairly high through the middle of the week next week.
