Ashlyn joined the FOX10 team in May 2022. Her genuine love for people is what propels her to be relatable, kind, and informative.

Ashlyn is originally from Hannibal, Missouri. In 2018, she discovered Mobile when she competed at the Distinguished Young Women National program in Mobile as the Distinguished Young Woman of Missouri. She quickly fell in love with the Mobile community. It left such an impression on her that she decided to attend the University of Mobile just weeks before classes began her freshman year.

Ashlyn graduated from UM with Summa Cum Laude honors in 2022. She graduated with a B.A. in communication and minors in French and government. Ashlyn has worked in many leadership capacities throughout her life. She worked at the Mark Twain Cave in her hometown as a tour guide for four years. In high school, she earned several prose and oratory awards. During her college career, she earned presidential scholastic awards, served as vice president of the UM Ambassador Program, interned for the marketing department, worked in the Student Life Office, and served as a graduate assistant in Residential Life.

When Ashlyn isn’t working, she loves to spend her time with her husband, Hugh, play pickleball, bake Italian food, read, write, and play with her goldendoodle, Champ. If you have any story ideas, please send them her way!
