Joe Emer is thrilled to call the Gulf Coast his home since 2007. Joe grew up in Wisconsin and still loves the area, however, he grew tired of the cold, snowy winters and sent his resume tapes to warmer climates. He received a call from FOX10 in Mobile the very next day… and the rest is history.
Joe began at FOX10 as a news reporter, but was named Sports Anchor just a few months later. Joe, a huge sports fan, loved covering the Jags, Tide and Tigers and so much more during his years in the Sports Department. When the opportunity to host Studio10 came up, Joe jumped at the opportunity. He feels it allowed him to not only show more personality, but also still cover a wide range of topics from news to sports to entertainment. Joe loves the fun and positive atmosphere of Studio10.
Everyday is live… everyday is different… he says it's a blast to work on the show.At one time or another, Joe has held just about every job there is in a newsroom. He's won a number of awards, including a news Emmy Award for a story called “Political Gridlock”. But he says nothing is as rewarding as working on Studio10 where there's an opportunity to make a positive impact everyday. Joe also met his wife Katie while working at FOX10. They are proud parents of two children, Eli and Mia.
