Judge Juan Merchan indicating Tuesday is when both sides will give their closing arguments, then it’ll be up to a jury of Trump’s peers to decide his fate. Then, the jury is expected to begin deliberations on Wednesday after receiving instructions from Judge Merchan. It is important to note that while it’s been nicknamed the “hush money trial” for payments to porn star Stormy Daniels, the legal questions focus on the falsification of business documents to influence the 2016 presidential election.

The prosecution expected to lay out the weeks of testimony implicating Donald Trump in a hush money scheme concocted to shield him in the late moments of the election. The defense will make a last ditch effort to discredit witnesses and convince the jury Trump had no knowledge of business records being falsified to hide payments..
