Rasheeda Kabba is an Emmy Award-winning journalist originally from Oklahoma. She is a first generation African American from Sierra Leone who graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s Gaylord College of Journalism. Over the last decade, her career has spanned from telling stories in Nebraska, Idaho, North Carolina and most recently Atlanta. She has held numerous titles which include Executive Producer, Anchor, Multi-media journalist, Photographer and Host.

Not only was she named 40 Under 40 Most Influential African Americans in the Triad of NC, but she was awarded an Emmy and RTDNAC First Place for her tireless reporting on the Forgotten Souls of North Carolina’s Black Cemeteries. She prides herself on amplifying unheard voices. Her goal is to take her genuine connection to people, and unique background as the child of immigrants from the third-world country, to tell stories of marginalized communities. Being a journalist on Capitol Hill has been her life’s dream and she’s so thankful Local News Live has afforded her the opportunity to fulfill it.
