Dominic Solanke says player Tottenham sold is just ’incredible’

Dominic Solanke is going to be under immense pressure at Tottenham this season.

The 26-year-old enjoyed the best season of his career last time out when he netted 19 Premier League goals for Bournemouth.

That resulted in Tottenham paying a club-record transfer for Solanke and he will be eager to get back on the field after the international break.

Solanke got injured on his Spurs debut and has missed their last few matches, with the north London derby around the corner.

The Chelsea academy product is probably lucky that he hasn’t replaced Harry Kane straight away and there is a 12-month gap.

Many Spurs fans were heartbroken when Kane joined Bayern Munich and many were worried that the team would struggle without him.

But, under Ange Postecoglou’s all-action style of play, the London club proceeded to score four more goals without their club-record goalscorer.

Solanke has spoken about Kane and how he is the best finisher he has played with in his career. Eden Hazard, Mohamed Salah and Didier Drogba are just some of the players Spurs’ new signing has played with.

No pressure on Solanke, but that Kane shadow will always be behind him, with the new Spurs boy labelling the England captain as ‘incredible’, as he told Sky Sports Premier League.

Dominic Solanke hails Harry Kane

“Obviously, Harry Kane,” responded Solanke to the best finisher he has played with. “His finishing is just one of the best ever.

“We see that all the time. His finishing is just incredible.”

Dominic Solanke searching for his first goal

He only has played one game, but it would be something if Solanke scored his first Spurs goal against Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta’s side outclassed their rivals on their home ground last season and they will be eager to win the bragging rights again.

Micky van de Ven was absent for Tottenham’s last game at Newcastle and he is another player the fans need back for Arsenal.

There are several headlines to be written here, including Raheem Sterling possibly making his Arsenal debut after his deadline-day loan move from Chelsea.
