Following weeks of rumors, the Friday, August 30 episode saw what is likely the end of the road for actor Adam J. Harrington on ABC’s “General Hospital” after his character, John “Jagger” Cates, was killed off.
During a face-off with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), John confronts the mobster, telling him he should turn himself in by confessing to his crimes. Unfortunately for the FBI agent, Sonny had the upper hand, informing John that he made a mistake by going after his family, something the coffee importer/exporter had warned him about previously. In the end, Sonny shoots two bullets into John as the rain pours down over them.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) after his final episode aired, Harrington seemingly addressed his exit, captioning the post, “Good night all……” The post was accompanied by a photograph of a sunset. Separately, in a post on his Instagram story timeline,...

Kristina’s fall on the August 2, 2024 episode is just the latest in unforgettable General Hospital tragedies. While the Davis family mourns and Kristina’s life hangs in the balance, let’s take a look back at other memorable tragedies that were anything but general.
Lucky’s Death (1999)
While Jonathan Jackson is about to return for his third run as Lucky, when it was time to wrap up his first run from 1993-1999, the character was killed off in a fire. As Port Charles mourned the devastating loss – including his then-girlfriend Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) – viewers were let in on a little secret: Lucky was alive and being held captive, all at the hands of Helena (ex-Constance Towers). After some brainwashing and poisonings, this tragedy had a happy ending when Lucky (then-Jacob Young) was rescued alive and well, but the presumed death of this legacy character shocked viewers for just a moment.

The General Hospital rumor mill has been churning over the last several weeks.
Speculation that some high-profile exits are on the way has made the rounds, and it seems that someone new is on the receiving end each time.
This time, Laura Wright is rumored to be exiting the hit ABC soap.
Carly has been a central character on the soap for decades, and the show has recast the role four times (we don’t talk about number three) since she burst on the scene to blow up Bobbie’s (Jacklyn Zeman) life.
The buzz around the soap streets was that three exits were coming up. This was dropped ahead of May sweeps, which just wrapped. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) died, leaving two more deaths or exits on the horizon if the rumors are to be believed.
Could this be the end for Carly in Port Charles?

General Hospital predictions wonder which lady Sonny Corinthos will wind up with after he recovers from his bipolar breakdown on the ABC soap opera.
Sonny Corinthos Out of Control on General Hospital
Currently, on Gh, Sonny Corinthos is in the middle of a bipolar spiral and getting worse by the day. He thinks he’s fine because he’s taking his medication as he should. However, he’s unaware that Valentin Cassadine is strong-arming his doctor into cutting his dosage down significantly.
Valentin needs Sonny to be erratic and irrational. That way, he can get him out of the way and take over his territory to move merchandise for Pikeman. So, Sonny is spiraling out and the people that know him best are suspicious. But, of course, he’s pushing them away on General Hospital.
Gh | ABC
Eventually, something so terrible is going to happen that he will be forced to get help.

It has been several weeks since General Hospital viewers saw Eden McCoy as Josslyn Jacks.
The Daytime Emmy winner was temporarily recast with actress Courtney Faulk, but she has already returned to filming.
Eden took a leave of absence last fall after her mom’s death but didn’t elaborate on when she would return or even acknowledge the time off.
While Courtney has done an excellent job in the role, it’s not the same as it would have been if Eden had been there. She missed a few big things, including the memorial for Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).
As the Esme (Avery Pohl) storyline picks up, General Hospital viewers are wondering when Eden will reprise the role of Josslyn.

Barbara Jean “Bobbie” Spencer’s family and friends are gathering to pay tribute to the late, beloved mother, friend, and head nurse on today and tomorrow’s episodes of General Hospital. Jacklyn Zeman, Bobbie’s portrayer, a four-time Daytime Emmy-nominee, who passed away last May, was thrust into the storyline forefront shortly after making her debut on the show in late 1977. The former Florida-based prostitute had returned to Port Charles, hoping to make a new life for herself as a nursing student. Bobbie was determined to snare law student Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) away from his then-girlfriend Laura Webber (Genie Francis), who was a teenager on parole for an accidental killing — even if that meant shipping Laura off to reform school! In time, Bobbie reformed, becoming an upstanding citizen, wife, mother, friend, and nurse along the way. She matured but never lost her zest for life or the love she felt for her family.
