Hello, online millennials! Do you recall the ’90s? Bill Clinton was our sax-playing emperor of America (or, as we called it back then, “president”). For fun, instead of shit-posting or hate-scrolling through Twitter we squeezed yogurt into our mouths while skateboarding with cartoon dogs. An app was a thing that came with ranch dressing, the Antarctic ice shelf was still intact, and MTV was still cool. It was a merry decade, where nothing was wrong and everything was fun.
Or at least it would seem that way while watching this surprisingly intricate supercut of ’90s dance scenes, which splices together beloved films like Clerks, Gremlins, The Fifth Element, Pulp Fiction, Jerry Maguire, and, um, Cool As Ice at their most ecstatic moments. While the song choice is unfortunate—Bloodhound Gang’s “The Bad Touch,” a.k.a “We ain’t nothin’ but mammals”—the editing is inspired, cramming 83 different ...

One of the big reasons for the enduring success of The Simpsons (even if it’s pretty much just spinning its wheels these days) is its incredible supporting roster of characters, who after 26 seasons feel almost as fleshed-out as the focal family themselves. Picking the funniest and most entertaining of these peripheral characters isn’t easy: is it the perpetually unlucky Milhouse, the D-list failure that is Krusty the Clown, or the hilariously decrepit Hans Moleman?
The answer might be Ralph Wiggum, the sweet-natured, good-hearted but undeniably stupid boy in Lisa’s class, who is of course the son of police Chief Clancy Wiggum.
Throughout the years, his hilariously dim-witted one-liners have created many of the show’s funniest moments, and his popularity with audiences ensured that someone who began as a tertiary character has remained a constant mainstay throughout the show’s run, even having a few completely character-centric episodes.

The Beatles were the first to popularise backmasking, a technique in which backwards sound is added to tracks that are designed to played forwards. The Beatles originally used the process to hide humourous messages in their songs, a trend followed by a number of popular artists since.
Backmasking has been a controversial topic in the past, with some Christian groups claiming that it’s been used to hide subliminal Satanic messages. This has led to anti-backmasking legislation being proposed, record-burning protests being held, and countless hours being spent by adolescents rewinding their tape decks and record players.
These days, backmasking is mainly used to hide little easter eggs in songs, often with a reference to other works, or for comedic effect. Of course, there’s also some hidden messages that are so bizarre, not even the original artists have managed to explain them properly.

Checking out the latest fashions far from home, Selena Gomez was in the front row for the Versace runway show in Milan on Friday (September 20).
The "Come & Get It" songstress vamped up her look in a sparkly back dress with cut outs as she made notes about the clothing featured in the show.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, the 21-year-old had to cancel two concerts slated for next week in Russia after she could not meet the country's stringent new visa laws, which some claim were put in to place to prevent American artists from promoting gay rights during events.
The Russian Entertainment Academy released a statement saying, "The situation is a result of the scandals over the Madonna, Lady Gaga and Bloodhound Gang concerts, after which the Russian authorities changed procedures for issuing visas to foreign musical and artistic groups."...

The Russian media report that Gomez was denied a visa to enter Russia by Russian authorities, allegedly due to her support of gay rights.

Russia recently passed a bill in June that prohibits gay propaganda, banning "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations" to minors.
According to Russian news agency Ria Novosti, a conflict had been anticipated last week concerning Gomez's acquisition of a visa but show organizers insisted that her eastern European shows would continue nonetheless.

The Bloodhound Gang is band non grata in Russia after giving the country's flag the bad touch. Or, more specifically, bassist "Evil" Jared Hasselhoff shoved a Russian flag down his pants, pulled it between his legs and out the back of his waistband and said, "Don't tell Putin," during the band's show in Odessa, Ukraine, last Wednesday. Cue the cancellation of their appearance at the Kubana music festival over the weekend in Krasnodar Krai, in Southern Russia. "Talked to Krasnodar territory leadership. Bloodhound Gang packing suitcases. These idiots won't perform in Kubana," tweeted Vladimir Medinsky, Russia's minister of culture, after getting...

Vladimir Putin's Russia doesn't suffer punks or gays it seems. The U.S. band Bloodhound Gang was booted out of the country for defiling the national flag, and criminal charges have been brought against the group's bass player, Jared Hasselhoff. On Aug. 2, the Bloodhound Gang was playing in Odessa, Ukraine. Ukrainian fans aren't too keen on the Russian flag and booed, inciting Hasselhoff pulled down the flag for the intent (and execution) of wiping his backside with it. Saying "Don't tell Putin," he unzipped his fly, stuffed the flag down his boxers and pulled it out from behind. Then he tossed it into the audience. "I talked to the leaders of the Krasnodar region," Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky wrote...

Bloodhound Gang deported and possibly banned from Russia for an unfortunate flag-down-pants incident
The U.S. rap-rock group Bloodhound Gang was deported from Russia and assaulted by angry nationalists after a video of bassist Jared Hasselhoff sticking a Russian flag down his pants and pulling it out the back before a cheering crowd in the Ukrainian city of Odessa went viral on YouTube. Due to backlash from the incident, Bloodhound Gang's performance at the Kubana Music Festival in Krasnodar Krai was cancelled by the request of Russian culture minister Vladimir Medinsky, who tweeted "Bloodhound Gang packing suitcases. These idiots won't perform in Kubana." Band members were pelted with eggs and tomatoes ...

Moscow — The American rock group Bloodhound Gang was kicked out of a Russian music festival and pelted with eggs after videos emerged of its bass player shoving a Russian flag down his pants at a recent concert in Ukraine. Russian prosecutors are even considering whether to open a criminal case in the matter, which comes amid a rise in U.S.-Russian tensions.
Videos posted online of Wednesday's concert in the Ukrainian city of Odessa show bass player Jared Hasselhoff pushing the Russian white, blue and red flag down the front of his pants and pulling it out the back. He then shouted to the audience: "Don't tell Putin," a reference to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The incident outraged the Russian government. Maria Minina, a spokeswoman for the weeklong Kubana festival in southern Russia, said Saturday that the band's headlining performance the previous evening had been canceled because of its treatment of the flag.

Pop music – it’s all sweet and innocent right? Well, listen to the lyrics and you’ll open up a big ol’ can of worms – raunchy worms with come-to-bed eyes. Pop music is littered with the whole innuendo spectrum that makes you look back at your old school discos in a completely different light. Yeah, I bet you’ve sang along to these (I know I have) and probably attempted to drunkenly gyrate to them too (guilty again) and that’s perfectly fine. Embrace the lyrical sin and the melodic muck, I say! With Nelly Furtado and Flo-Rida soon to release their new singles Big Hoops (Bigger the Better) and Whistle (including the completely innocent line ‘Can you blow my whistle baby?‘) respectively, here’s a roundup of the five most common Pop-uendo themes ranging from the childish to the just plain filthy.

Pahrump - Call it Hof Vegas. Dennis Hof of HBO’s Cathouse no longer wants me to warn readers that his Bunny Ranch empire is in only Reno and not Las Vegas. He’s bringing his style of adult fun to the outskirts of Sin City. He called up the hotline from the middle of Crystal, Nevada to spread the news. The sounds of hammering and drills came from his end of the phone.
“We’re moving around here and getting some things done,” Dennis Hof said. “I bought two 35 year old rundown, rat trap brothels. What you’re buying is the licenses.”
The two old names were Cherry Patch Ranch and Mabel’s Whore House. The new places are Love Ranch and Dennis Hof’s Cathouse. “Those are name that are synonymous with good times.”
There are no good times for the former owner. He got arrested for bribing a county official.

Certain spooky scenes involving ape-like jungle "beings" with bright red eyes recall "lowbrow" antecedents like John Carpenter's The Fog (1980), Amando de Ossorio's Blind Dead quartet (1971-5) and Eugenio Martín's Horror Express (1972), not to mention the more nightmarish alternate-realities of David Lynch - though Apichatpong has...

Neveldine and Taylor stormed the scene in 2006 when they unleashed Crank onto the masses. Crank 2 established their style and Gamer is the film that takes it even a few steps further. How many fans they're going to lose along the way is hard to predict, but if you're looking for hyperactive craziness, there really is no alternative.
Crank was a fun little action film that abused its simple storyline to put as much adrenaline in its short running time as possible. It was a low budget affair that showcased the duo's talent and would redoubtably lead to more expensive films. As usual I was a little weary of their next projects as more money often results in more studio involvement, ultimately putting a handbrake on their hyperactive and action-infused style. Gamer proves there was never any reason to worry.

The Gamer soundtrack. Who do you get to soundtrack a 21st century action-death-guns romp starring Gerard Butler, Michael C Hall, Ludacris, and John Leguizamo? Clearly, you get Marilyn Manson, The Bloodhound Gang, Sammy Davis Jnr, and 19 tracks of intrigue, metal guitars, and post-Dust Brothers beats by Robert Williamson & Geoff Zaneli (two rock and roll names right there). Duh.
Gamer does not have the type of cast list you see every day, but then this is the kind of film that once upon a time would have starred Christopher Lambert (come on, who remembers Fortress?). And what’s more, it’s from the writer/directors of the Crank films (which means writer/directors who specialise in writing Bang, Thump, Tits a lot) so I’m guessing Shia Laboeuf wasn’t kicking their door down to get involved. No, it’s all about the Butler, who, after Rocknrolla, Ps I Love You and The Ugly Truth,...

Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor have made careers for themselves by making action films. Films with little plot but loads of heart pounding, non-stop, balls-to-the-wall action. They're sometimes rude, sometimes crude and always unapologetic. Pathology was a deviation. Though the duo didn't direct, their story had more thought crammed into ten minutes than both Crank films put together. Gamer is an all together different beast which attempts to marry ideas with the Neveldine/Taylor style of action and the result is sometimes messy but also smart while never forgetting to be a whole lot of fun.
The near future is a crazy place. Advertisements are found everywhere, including the pyramids, and among the familiar brand names is a new beast: “Slayers.” In a world that features advanced and...

Today the 2-Minute Verdict turns its judgmental eye towards Mystery Team, the Sundance Film Festival "comedy sensation" about a Bloodhound Gang-type trio of neighborhood crime-solvers who refuse to grow up. Cinematical described it as "Encyclopedia Brown meets Napoleon Dynamite with a pinch of Ace Ventura." CinemaBlend called it "the Rocky Horror Picture Show of mystery movies." And Slashfilm called it "funnier and more original than 99% of the comedies Hollywood releases now-a-days." Now that we've seen the trailer, we can finally throw in our two cents: "Really terrible-looking!"...

The band Psychostick is somewhat devoted to metal, and seriously devoted to food. Their latest album, Sandwich, released on May 5, has about as many food songs than Weird Al Yankovic's Food Album and Talking Heads' More Songs About Buildings and Food combined. As the band explains on "Too Many Food": "Don't get me wrong, man. If food was a band, I'd be at every show." They call their style "humorcore," and they're basically a more metal, less pop culture-centric version of the Bloodhound Gang. They have a good understanding of nu-metal melody, and use soaring vocals over power chords to great seriocomic effect in songs like "The Hunger Within" and "#1 Radio $ingle." "Hunger Within" is practically a power ballad, mourning an empty pantry: "Take away my suffering, I can't go on with things this way. There's only so much...
