When X-Men: Dark Phoenix premiered to mixed reviews, the confusion extended beyond the storyline itself. Jessica Chastain, who starred in the film, revealed that she didn’t even know her character’s name until after the movie had already hit theaters.

The reason behind this was that the film underwent extensive changes for various reasons, including the Fox-Disney merger and the need to avoid similarities speculatively with Captain Marvel. Consequently, Jessica Chastain’s character, Vuk, likely took shape during post-production, adding to the film’s already tumultuous journey to the screen.

Spoiler Alert !!!'House of the Dragon' Season 2 Spoilers Ahead!
Based on George R.R. Martin’s “history” book Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon has returned to the screens once again for its second season. But even as it is almost about to finish its second run, a lot of old and new mysteries are still to be addressed. For instance, what happened to John Macmillan’s Laenor Velaryon after he faked his death in season 1?
A still from House of the Dragon, season 2. | Credit: HBO.
While this is yet to be answered, one of Martin’s theories about dragons seems to hint at just what could have gone down with this major character from the saga. And, as disappointing and heartbreaking as it all may seem, this theory directly points out that the character may have died off-screen, considering the behavior his dragon Seasmoke depicted recently.

While we now know Emma D’Arcy as our Negroni-loving icon that portrays the heart and soul of Team Black, Rhaenyra Targaryen, there was a time when they scrambled to look the part. As much as the Targaryens serve flawless hair on the screen, it’s the Hair and Makeup department that deserves the credit. Auditions, though, might be a different story.

And for D’Arcy, auditions were a mess, unlike their character’s easy-flowing hair. Adding to their trouble was a comedy of errors. The search for an adult Rhaenyra meant D’Arcy Had to look the part, but their makeshift pandemic wig was a real headscratcher.

When House of the Dragon blazed onto Max, it introduced a whole new world of killers, survivors, and victims in Westeros.
With all of the time jumps in Season 1, it might be easy to find yourself asking: Wait… how old are these characters supposed to be?
In the case of Rhaenyra Targaryen it gets even more complicated – the character is played by two different actors in Season 1. Milly Alcock (Young Rhaenyra) was 21 at the time of filming, when her character was 15 years old.
Emma D'Arcy took over the role after a time jump that aged Rhaenyra to her mid-20s. Emma was 31 years old at the time of filming – though the English actor seems to have one of those elastic faces that could be a lot older or a lot younger. Personally, I think Emma could pass as either 16 or 40.

Gerard Butler is set to voice St. Nick, while Emilia Clarke will play the Queen of Hearts and ‘Bridgerton’s’ Simone Ashley will play Alice.

Through the epic run of Game of Thrones, we might have caught a glimpse of pop icon Ed Sheeran making a cameo in the show, but on a rare occasion, Emilia Clarke bewildered fans with her bizarre musical endeavor. Known to millions as the iconic Daenerys Targaryen, Clarke captured people’s attention across the internet by taking on the mic.

Game of Thrones was more than simply a TV show; it was a worldwide cultural phenomenon that captivated viewers. The show was based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels to visually create a fantasy epic unlike any other. Not just the storyline, but the characters on the show also became household names, especially Emilia Clarke and her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen.

The audience responded poorly to the show’s last season, despite the first few seasons being well-received. Further, even before the final season had aired, Emilia Clarke had ceased publicly defending the series. So, her Got co-star Nathalie Emmanuel had to come forward.
No Emilia Clake meant Nathalie Emmanuel had to defend Game of Thrones
Emilia Clarke had already been part of a slew of movies before Game of Thrones was offered to her.

“You can never go back,” warns Eiko (Sonoya Mizuno) in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix anime series Terminator Zero.
That’s a strange thing to hear from a character who literally went back in time. A human resistance soldier from 2022, Eiko has been sent to the year 1997. She’s there to stop a Terminator (voiced by Timothy Olyphant), itself sent to kill someone who might threaten the Machines in the future.
That sure sounds like Terminator Zero is moving back, all the way to the timeline of the first two (and easily best) Terminator movies. But Terminator Zero puts a twist on the proceedings by focusing not on any Connors or even Miles Dyson, the scientist who co-creates evil AI Skynet.
Rather, Terminator Zero features Malcolm Lee (voiced by Andre Holland), a scientist living in Japan. Lee is working on an AI that threatens to compete with Skynet. As the trailer shows,...

In the winding saga of Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone, Jamie Dutton, portrayed with multifaceted intensity by Wes Bentley, dances on the razor’s edge between loyalty & betrayal, casting an increasingly long shadow as the show’s emerging antagonist. But isn’t the path to villainy often paved with good intentions gone awry?
Well, peel back the layers, and you’ll uncover a man ensnared by familial bonds and haunted by past misdeeds that resonate in the ravines of Yellowstone. Amid Jamie’s turbulent conscience, fans have observed that the weight of guilt and expectation steered him towards a darkness that threatens to consume everything in its wake.
Wes Bentley and Kelly Reilly in Yellowstone | Paramount Network
Yet, the show’s connoisseurs suggest a brewing storm of discontent, contemplating if Jamie’s arc might mirror the fall of Game of Thrones’ Daenerys—a hero’s descent into a caricature of evil.

This post contains spoilers for the latest episode of "House of the Dragon."
"I don't think Westeros is particularly more anti-woman or more misogynistic than real life and what we call history," George R. R. Martin stated during a Comic-Con Panel in 2022 while explaining how "Game of Thrones" was loosely based on the War of the Roses. As fiction paves the path for mirrored social commentary and dramatic amplification of socio-political issues, misogyny and patriarchal abuse are deeply entrenched in both "Game of Thrones" and "House of the Dragon," where women have ended up getting the shorter end of the stick time and again. Episode 5 of the latest season of "House of the Dragon" drills this point home — both through repeated instances of capable women being shut down by all-male councils who secretly resent women in positions of power, and punishing women who upheld these patriarchal norms in the past...

Emilia Clarke doing yoga in her swimsuit proved just too much for fans back in 2018. The Game of Thrones actress, aged 31 at the time, drove her Instagram followers into "meltdown," per The Express, posting an outdoor and very zen snap of herself and a male pal sitting in thelotus position. Chances are, though, it was the bathing suit doing it for them. Emilia, whose swimwear-clad photos are few and far between on social media, stunned in a plunging white one-piece, one doing wonders for her slender frame and also highlighting her curves. Fans even got a yoga-centric caption.

The pages of history are a bloody story of war, crimes, and revenge, other than being a vast document of how humanity ended up at its current threshold. Many individuals have emerged throughout history who later became significant figures in the modern world, inspiring popular culture and gaining mass followings millennia after their deaths.
