Lucky 13, a new game show with an exciting new premise for winning money, is co-hosted by Shaquille O’Neal (Shaq) and Gina Rodriguez.
Shaq’s production company, Jersey Legends Productions, is helping to produce the game show, and Gina serves as an executive producer.
According to TV Series Finale, its first episode had 2.73 million people watching, which is an excellent number for a new show.
What makes Lucky 13 different is not the hosts; although having the chemistry that Shaq has is not to be discounted, the mechanics of the game are what makes it a great show.
The twist is that of the 13 true-or-false trivia questions that Shaq asks the contestants to answer; they must decide how many they got correct and, depending on how accurately they guess, determine how much money they win.
Lucky 13 airs on Thursday nights on ABC and can be streamed the next day on Hulu.

Woolfe said Rosencrantz was “pursuing other opportunities” but would continue to collaborate on Studio 1 shows if they are taken to series.
Studio 1’s development slate has included Kevin Bacon-fronted quiz show Lucky 13 and The Imposter, a game show fronted by British presenter Rob Rinder.
Studio 1 was also behind Lit, a CNN-style entertainment news network that streamed across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Rosencrantz and Woolfe met more than 20 years ago through the development of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?. Rosencrantz commissioned the show for ITV, while Woolfe was instrumental in growing the format into a global brand as...

Fox is developing an adaptation of Korean mystery game show I Can See Your Voice as reality chief Rob Wade eyes bigger, broader formats.
The network has piloted a U.S. adaptation of the show, which hails from Korea’s Cj Enm, the company behind NBC’s Better Late Than Never. It was fronted by Ken Jeong and comes on the back of The Masked Singer, also based on a Korean original.
I Can See Your Voice, which was created by Lee Seon-young, sees a pop star try and guess the skilled vocalists from the tone-deaf singers without hearing them sing. With the help of a “tone-deaf detective team,” they must eliminate one or two singers in each round before performing on the “Stage of Truth” with the star. If the final singer can hold a tune, they will receive a special reward, but if the final mystery singer is tone-deaf,...
