  Natalie Voss : Would you stop waving that thing in my face?

  Jack Hammond : [gestures with the gun again]  Am I holding a gun in your face?

  Jack Hammond : I don't think so. Now, I can be a pretty likeable guy when I'm not pointing a gun at somebody. You may not believe me, but it's true. You gotta trust me.

  [helicopter above] 

  Jack Hammond : Shit! Why do things always go so wrong for me?

  Natalie Voss : Maybe you bring it on yourself.

  Jack Hammond : Now you don't know what the hell you're talking about!

  Natalie Voss : Maybe I do.

  Jack Hammond : but I can't do that. Not yet. Seeing that we're gonna be traveling companions for a while, we should get better acquainted. My name is Jack. You are...?

  Natalie Voss : You can't do this!

  Natalie Voss : This! You think...

  Natalie Voss : You can't just kidnap somebody and - and threaten to kill them and then expect them to be cute and nice!

  Natalie Voss : You just *can't,* okay? It doesn't work that way! You are a terrorist! Why should I be nice to you?

• Jack Hammond : [as Natalie opens up her handbag]  What are you doing?

  Natalie Voss : I was going to offer you a piece of gum.

  Jack Hammond : I thought mace.

  Natalie Voss : If I had mace, I would have used it by now. You're not a very smart criminal.

  Jack Hammond : Thank you. That's what I've been trying to tell you.

  Natalie Voss : So are you gonna tell me why you are on the run?

  Jack Hammond : You won't believe me. I'm not so sure I believe me anymore.
