Donald Trump weighed in on the controversy over the Olympics opening ceremony, which featured men in drag and a segment that some have interpreted as a satire of The Last Supper.
Appearing on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle on Monday evening, Trump called the ceremony a “disgrace.”
“The mocking of the Last Supper,” Ingraham said.
“I thought it was a disgrace,” Trump said.
Ingraham then asked him, if he is elected, whether he will “have enough influence on the organizers that we won’t be insulting Christians.” The term of the next president runs through 2029. The next summer Olympics, in 2028, will take place in Los Angeles.
“We won’t be having a Last Supper, as portrayed the way they portrayed it the other night,” Trump said. “I just think — look, I’m for everybody. I’m very open-minded. You understand me.
“You know me better than most people know me.

A French DJ and LGBTQ+ rights icon said she has filed police reports over targeted death threats for her participation in a section of the Paris Olympics opening ceremony where comparisons were drawn to Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
During the four-hour ceremony on Friday, drag queens and dancers at one point struck poses along a long table as Barbara Butch DJed in the center. A person painted sparkly blue, singing in French, was resting on a dinner platter in front. Some social media users said the image resembled the portrait of Jesus Christ and his 12 apostles before he was crucified, which became the center of swift backlash.
House Speaker Mike Johnson, French far-right politician Marion Maréchal and Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker were among those berating the tableau. “Last night’s mockery of The Last Supper was shocking and insulting to Christian people around the world,...

Jodie Sweetin has come out in defense of the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony and its drag performance section after her former Full House co-star Candace Cameron Bure slammed the routine as “disgusting.” Sweetin took to social media to respond to remarks made by Bure and other conservative commenters regarding a drag performance that appeared to mimic Leonardo Da Vinci’s iconic painting “The Last Supper.” Bure and others claimed the performance mocked Christianity. In an Instagram Story posted on Saturday, July 27, Bure said, “It made me so sad. And someone said, ‘You shouldn’t be sad. You should be mad about it.’ And I’m like, ‘Trust me. It makes me mad.’ But I’m more sad, because I’m sad for souls.” On Sunday, July 28, Sweetin reshared a post from activist Matt Bernstein, which stated, “The drag queens at the Olympics were recreating the feast of Dionysus, not the Last Supper.

Update: French DJ and activist Barbara Butch said on Monday that she has filed several police reports after receiving death threats for her participation in an Olympics opening ceremony tableau that drew comparisons to Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” The Paris Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to Variety that a complaint for cyber-harassment was received and an official investigation has been launched.
“The national body in charge of combatting against online hate speech (Pnlh) has appointed the central office in charge of fighting crimes against humanity and hate crimes (Oclch) to conduct an investigation into the discriminating messages referring to the religion or sexual orientation that were addressed to her or posted online and flagged,” the Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement. “The facts could potentially qualify as abuse aggravated by discrimination, death threats and public incitement to attempt on the life or physical integrity of people.”

French DJ Barbara Butch, who participated in a controversial drag queen scene in the Paris Olympics Open Ceremony, has lodged a number of police complaints after receiving a raft of threatening online messages.
“Since the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games artist, DJ, and activist Barbara Butch has been the target of an extremely violent campaign of cyber-harassment and defamation,” Butch’s lawyer Audrey Msellati said in a statement.
“She has been threatened with death, torture, and rape, and has also been the target of numerous anti-Semitic, homophobic, sexist, and anti-grossophobic insults.”
Butch was among the participants in a scene celebrating sexual diversity and inclusion entitled “Festivity”. The colorful scene, which also featured Nicky Doll and a number of past Drag Race France contestants, was among 12 tableaux capturing the French spirit running through the opening ceremony.

In a less stupid world, the most controversial part of the Paris Olympics opening ceremony would have been when the Minions were callously drowned for our amusement. Instead there’s now a major controversy brewing involving “dancers and drag queens” forming a tableau that some people interpreted as being representative of The Last Supper.
Catholic leaders have called it a “mockery of Christianity,” despite the fact that it was actually supposed to be a depiction of the Greek God Dionysus and the “Feast of the Gods.” Yeah, apparently Christians don’t have a monopoly on dinner parties thrown by deities.
Although, as far as we know, this is the first time that Dionysus has been represented as a ginger Dr. Manhattan.

The Paris Olympics have been at the center of controversy following the opening ceremony on Friday. Many people felt that the drag performance was mocking Leonardo da Vinci’s painting “The Last Supper.” A representative for the Olympics has now come forward to address the hot debate.
Paris Olympics Rep Addresses Last Supper Controversy
Da Vinci’s painting infamously depicts Jesus and his disciples sharing a meal before his crucifixion. At the Paris Olympics, it seemed like the scene was brought to life with drag queens, a trans model, and a male singer painted blue.
During an interview with the artistic director Thomas Jolly, he made it clear that the inspiration for the scene was not “The Last Supper.” He said that the entire idea for the performance was “a grand pagan festival connected to the gods of Olympus” and the man who was painted blue was meant to be Dionysus.

Organizers of the Paris Olympics issued an apology Sunday following criticism of a segment in the opening ceremony that some viewed as mocking Christianity’s Last Supper.
The controversial scene, featuring drag performers and dancers, drew a sharp rebuke from Catholic leaders and conservative politicians who saw it as a disrespectful portrayal of Jesus’ final meal with his disciples before his crucifixion.
“There was clearly never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group,” Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps said at a news conference. “If people have taken any offense, we’re, of course, really sorry.”
The French Conference of Catholic Bishops condemned the performance, stating it “included scenes of derision and mockery of Christianity.” In the United States, House Speaker Mike Johnson called it a “shocking and insulting” mockery of Christian beliefs.
The backlash led one U.S. company, telecommunications firm C Spire, to withdraw its advertising from the Summer Games.

The Paris Olympics drew ire Friday for an opening ceremony scene that some religious viewers felt was mocking Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, which depicts Jesus and his disciples before his crucifixion. Now, a representative from the Olympics is setting the record straight.
The scene in question featured drag queens, a transgender model and a singer dressed up as Dionysus, all set against the city’s beautiful Seine river. In an interview that aired on French television, Olympics artistic director Thomas Jolly made it clear that the inspiration for the idea was “a grand pagan festival connected to the gods of Olympus.

Conservative figures in Hollywood such as Rob Schneider and Candace Cameron Bure are outraged over the Paris Olympics’ opening ceremony for featuring a tableau that seemed to evoke Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” but replaced the painting’s religious figures with drag queens and more. The Catholic Church in France slammed the visual as a “derision and mockery of Christianity.”
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Schneider said he would be boycotting the rest of the Paris games because of the controversial tableau.
“I am sorry to say to all the world’s greatest athletes, I wish you all the best, but I cannot watch an Olympics that disrespects Christianity and openly celebrates Satan,” the comedian wrote. “I sincerely hope these Olympics get the same amount of viewers as Cspan.”
Schneider later posted a still from the tableau and wrote: “Guys with their genitalia hanging out in front of children?...

European TV and streaming company Eurosport, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, has dropped commentator Bob Ballard from its Olympics coverage after an “inappropriate comment” that he made about members of Australia’s women’s swimming team went viral.
Ballard, commenting after the Australian female swim team won the gold medal in the 4×100 meter freestyle relay, said the athletes, who were celebrating together, were late to leave the swimming venue because “you know what women are like, hanging around, doing their makeup.”
His female colleague, commentator and former Olympian Lizzie Simmonds called Ballard out for the comment. “Outrageous, Bob. Some of the men are doing that as well,” she quipped, prompting a laugh from Ballard. A 15-second clip of the comments quickly went viral on social media. Ballard was dropped soon afterward.

Updated: Thomas Jolly, the artistic director of the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony, has denied a controversial scene featuring drag queens was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper.
Jolly told news channel Bfmtv on Sunday that the tableau has nothing to do with the iconic Renaissance painting depicting Jesus’s last meal with the 12 apostles as he tells them that one of their number will betray him.
“It’s not my inspiration and that should be pretty obvious. There’s Dionysus arriving on a table. Why is he there? First and foremost because he is the god of celebration in Greek mythology and the tableau is called ‘Festivity’,” explained Jolly.
“He is also the god of wine, which is also one of the jewels of France, and the father of Séquana, the goddess of the river Seine,” he continued. “The idea was to depict a big pagan celebration, linked to the gods of Olympus,...

A Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony scene reminiscent of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” continued to stir controversy Sunday as Paris 2024 producers and the ceremony’s designer Thomas Jolly released separate, apparently opposing statements on where it drew its inspiration.
The scene in question featured a line of drag performers posing shoulder-to-shoulder on a Parisian bridge before turning the bridge into a fashion-forward catwalk. Later, those same queens celebrated over a meal where the dish was revealed to be a nearly nude man painted blue.
Many, including Jolly and the official Olympics Games X account, said that the scene is an “interpretation of the Greek God Dionysus” that “makes us aware of the absurdity of violence between human beings.”
Others, including a statement from Paris 2024 producers obtained by TheWrap Sunday, said that it was in fact inspired by Da Vinci’s famous painting — a skewing of the religious imagery...

Religious conservatives decried the segment, with the French Catholic Church’s conference of bishops deploring “scenes of derision” that they said made a mockery of Christianity. Complaints were also made by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova and the Anglican Communion in Egypt.
The ceremony’s artistic director, Thomas Jolly, claimed he meant to celebrate diversity and pay tribute to feasting and French gastronomy.
Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps responded to that during an International Olympic Committee news conference on Sunday.
“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group. On the contrary, I think (with) Thomas Jolly, we really...

The Opening Ceremony at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games featured numerous performances, but there was one in particular that drew mixed reactions, including outrage from conservative leaders.
During the four-hour ceremony on Friday, drag queens and dancers at one point struck poses along a long table as a person painted sparkly blue, singing in French, was resting on a dinner platter in front. Some people quickly took to social media to say that the image resembled Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper portrait of Jesus Christ and his 12 apostles before he was crucified.
The table later transformed into a catwalk for models and drag queens to showcase Paris’ fashion scene.
House Speaker Mike Johnson wrote on X (formerly Twitter) following the performance, “Last night’s mockery of the Last Supper was shocking and insulting to Christian people around the world who watched the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. The...

The Apple TV+ series "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters," like the film series that inspired it, skips around dramatically throughout history. Recall that "Kong: Skull Island," which came out after 2014's "Godzilla," was set mostly in 1973 after opening with a flashback to 1944. "Legacy of Monsters" likewise jumps back and forth a lot, exploring a present-day timeframe c. 2015 and a much earlier timeline set in the mid-1950s. To show the legacy of humans that work at Monarch -- the secret government agency assigned to oversee and wrangle kaiju -- both time frames feature the character Lee Shaw. In the 1950s, Shaw was one of the founding members of Monarch. In the '10s, he becomes re-immersed in Monarch after encountering the show's lead character, Cate (Anna Sawai).
In the 1950s, Shaw is played by Wyatt Russell, the star of "Overlord," "Everybody Wants Some!!," and "Night Swim." In the '10s segments,...

Kangana Ranaut has openly criticized the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024, expressing her disapproval of what she described as a “blasphemous rendition of The Last Supper.” She took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday to share several pictures and videos from the event, alongside her critical commentary.
In one of her posts, Kangana shared a video clip from the ceremony, writing, “The Paris Olympics is under fire for including a child in their hyper-sexualized, blasphemous rendition of The Last Supper. An apparent child could be seen joining the drag queens during the performance. They also showed a naked man painted blue as Jesus and mocked Christianity. Leftists totally hijacked Olympics 2024. Shame.”
She also posted a photo of a man painted blue, adding, “Naked body painted Christ at the Olympics opening in Paris (person facepalming emoji).” Another picture prompted her to comment, “This is how France welcomed the world for...

We’ve only just got Easter out of the way, and here comes the most immersive Christmas movie of the year, an abstract but very much controlled study based in and around a festive party thrown by a very large family from Long Island, New York. Despite the specificity of the setting, however, Tyler Taormina’s third feature film is a surprisingly relatable experience, part anthropological study, part nostalgia kick, lit up (literally) like a Christmas tree in a yuletide riot of red, white and green.
It begins in a car ferrying members of the Balsano family — mother and father, brother and sister — to the home of the family’s matriarch, where four generations of Balsanos have gathered for their annual get-together. This is about as much of a set-up as you’re going to get,...

Universal Pictures has tapped renowned British filmmaker Andrew Haigh (All of Us Strangers) to write and direct a Leonardo da Vinci film based on Walter Isaacson’s bestselling 2017 biography of the artist, Deadline can confirm.
Based on thousands of pages from Da Vinci’s notebooks and new discoveries about his life and work, the biography looks to connect his art to his science, showing how Leonardo’s genius was based on skills we can improve in ourselves, such as passionate curiosity, careful observation, and an imagination so playful that it flirted with fantasy.
An icon of the Italian Renaissance, Da Vinci was not only a prolific painter but also a polymath excelling in various fields including science, engineering, and anatomy. His masterpieces, the “Mona Lisa,” and “The Last Supper” are among the most recognizable and influential works of art in history.
Christopher Hampton wrote a previous draft of the Da Vinci script.

Jon Stewart used the April 22 episode of “The Daily Show” to eviscerate the media for giving way too much attention to Donald Trump’s ongoing hush money trial. The host said the legal battle is both “a test of the fairness of the American legal system” and “a test of the media’s ability to cover Donald Trump in a responsible way.” Stewart determined that the media is failing when it comes to the latter.
Throwing to footage from across cable news networks, including MSNBC host Chris Hayes proclaiming this is “the trial of the century” and various media outlets reporting on Trump’s trips to the courthouse in detail, Stewart fired back: “Perhaps, if we limit the coverage to the issues at hand, and try not to create an all-encompassing spectacle of the most banal of details, perhaps that would help?”
“Seriously, are we going to follow this guy to court every fucking day?...

Who’s more stubborn, Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) or Ada Sonny Carisi (Peter Scanavino)? Thankfully, there’s another voice (of reason) present when the two cross paths in the February 8 episode of Law & Order: Organized Crime. Svu‘s Scanavino guest stars as part of the Los Santos case (they’re the biggest providers of fentanyl on the Eastern seaboard) in “The Last Supper.” When he sees Stabler in TV Insider’s exclusive clip, his immediate reaction is, “What are you doing here?” But as Stabler sees it, there shouldn’t be a problem. “What do you mean, what am I doing here? It’s my case,” he says. (He started off the season undercover.) ‘That’s exactly why you can’t be here right now. You were undercover with Los Santos, you played a role in their father’s death. You shouldn’t be anywhere near this family,...

It’s just another day on the mean streets of Judea circa 33 A.D., where people hang out on sunbaked corners talking smack, working-class stiffs scramble to get by, and Roman centurions — the LAPD of their day — stop and frisk anyone who they feel matches the description of a suspect. Netflix's latest movie is the epic drama "Society of the Snow," directed by J.A. Bayona. The Spanish-language drama is based on the Andes tragedy (also referred to as the Andes miracle) of 1972, wherein a charter plane carrying 45 people — including members of a Uruguayan rugby team — crashed in the Andes mountains, leaving the survivors stranded in an extremely harsh environment for 72 days. This is a story that has fascinated people around the world for decades, inspiring three movies, many documentaries, and serving as the inspiration for "Yellowjackets."
Most adaptations tend to focus on the more sensationalist aspect of the tale: cannibalism. The first feature film based on the tragedy was a Mexican exploitation movie, and arguably the most famous film is the American production "Alive," directed by Frank Marshall and featuring a whitewashed cast that included Ethan Hawke. That movie turned the story into an uplifting tale of survival, more...

“I’m home!” Lauryn Hill bellowed to the packed crowd at Newark’s Prudential Center. Her DJ, who performs as DJ Reborn, had properly set the tone for the night with an extended-minute medley of Nineties hits — though they didn’t need much of a primer. The crowd was predominantly filled with spectators who looked like they were in Hill and the Fugees’ age bracket and had experienced the wonder of 1998’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in real-time.

There was a lot of speculation that Season 2 would be And Just Like That…’s last. Some have been speculating the series coming to an end ever since the promotional poster for the season was released — The Last Supper imagery, some argued, meant that this was it for Carrie and gang. That reasoning was carried over when the final two episodes of the season both had the exact words “The Last Supper” in their titles.
Kim Cattrall’s highly anticipated (but ultimately out of place) cameo also seemed to signal some sort of big ending. Knowing how adamant the actress was to never return to the series, it felt like she was maybe given a detail about the entire franchise coming to an end to entice her back one more time.

‘And Just Like That’ Season 2 Embraces Chaos and Forsakes Sanity in an Encouraging Finale — Spoilers

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “And Just Like That” Season 2, Episode 11, “The Last Supper Part 2: Entrée.”]
“If you feel love, run after it.”
Carrie’s latest personal credo doesn’t just linger over the Season 2 finale; it’s spoken aloud to kick off the episode. In case viewers forgot how head over Manolo Blahnik heels our former Shoe Gal is for Aidan (John Corbett), episode writer and director Michael Patrick King features Carrie’s words of advice in the introductory “last time on…” montage. (Wisely left out: Aidan’s egregiously weepy phone call about his hospitalized son.) Fresh off the death of her first husband, Carrie is strapping on her most supportive flats and sprinting after whatever brings her joy. A five-bedroom apartment valued at the Gdp of Albania? She buys it. A teense kitten sure to destroy her Sjp-brand wallpaper (not to mention the cat’s namesake: all of Carrie’s shoes)? She adopts it.

Spoiler Alert: This column contains spoilers from “The Last Supper Part Two: Entrée,” the Season 2 finale of “And Just Like That,” now streaming on Max.
Before the second season of “And Just Like That” even premiered, we knew that Kim Cattrall would (briefly) return as her “Sex and the City” character Samantha Jones. The ratings rationale for bringing back such a beloved figure were obvious enough, but creatively, the move seemed oddly self-defeating. After an awkward start, the sequel series had finally started to establish its own identity. What was the point of reminding viewers what they were missing, let alone with a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo featuring no other cast members?
But to my great surprise, Cattrall’s appearance in the 11th and final episode of Season 2 was both effective and, against all odds, organic. The two-part finale, titled “The Last Supper,” was all about saying goodbye and paying tribute...

The tenth episode ended of And Just Like That Season 2 with Che and Miranda having an explosive confrontation about the jokes they made about their relationship. Aidan breaks down over his son’s accident and his inability to cater to his emotional needs. He feels he should have been there as a dad. Charlotte comes home drunk and confronts Harry and her kids about giving her some space to be herself outside of the family. Lisa unfortunately miscarries. As Carrie prepares to say goodbye to her old apartment, she invites all her friends one last time to celebrate the life she led in this place. We would love to know what happens when as many friends as possible descend on her place for “The Last Supper.”

Max officially renewed And Just Like That… ahead of its much-anticipated season two finale which will feature the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha. Season two episode 11 – part two of “The Last Supper” – finally delivers the cameo fans of the original foursome have eagerly anticipated.
Even though Samatha won’t be sharing scenes with her former Sex and the City co-stars, Cattrall will be seen in a cameo, styled by Patricia Field and shot in secret. In an interview on Today with Hoda and Jenna, Kim Cattrall confirmed that shopping in Bergdorf’s and picking out a great outfit for her cameo felt like dipping her toe back in time and having a wonderful afternoon.
However, fans shouldn’t expect Kim Cattrall back for the just-announced third season. It seems this short cameo is a one-off and not a precursor to an extended return as Samantha.

Entertainment It is perhaps the self-aware sarcasm that makes Pearle’s pregnancy reveal stand out, earning almost three million views in less than a day.InstagramPopular actor and Malayali YouTuber Pearle Maaney’s pregnancy reveal vlog is breaking the internet, with fans gushing over it. Towards the end of the video, after Pearle and Srinish manage to have Sumalatha aunty out of their apartment, they see a video on their phones, posted by her, urging viewers to click on the link to know what Pearle’s big surprise is. The Netflix recommendation algorithm is a boundless and ineffable mystery. On any given day, it will reach randomly into the Netflix catalog and haul out a film many had kind of forgotten existed or perhaps never knew about, and get scads of subscribers to watch it. One might recall the time in April of 2023 when the not-particularly-beloved 2011 prequel-cum-remake of "The Thing" topped Netflix's popularity charts. More people saw it that month than perhaps watched it in theaters.
The latest popular surprise from Netflix comes in the form of Bartosz M. Kowalski's "Hellhole," a Polish horror movie that was released on the streaming service in October of 2022, but is only now coming to prominence. Don't feel bad if you hadn't heard of "Hellhole" prior to this; few have. It's only by the caprices of Netflix that it now arrives in the public eye.

Brace yourself for a broken record.
How can this show keep getting better and better when it's so good already? On Schmigadoon! Season 2 Episode 5, the hits start right off the bat, and they just keep coming.
Everyone on screen and behind the scenes is a master of their craft. It's that simple, folks!
Tituss Burgess gives us a sinister Sweeney-esque recap of where we're at with our various plotlines, and even though he's fantastic here, it can't compare to his big number that comes a little later in the episode.
Melissa has truly come into her own, and Cecily Strong is there right along with her.
Dropping the Funny Girl costume (and schtick), Strong goes full-on torch singer with "My Turn Now," an homage to the magnificent "Maybe This Time" from Cabaret.
Vocally, she's never sounded better, which a strong belt and confident mixed voice that soars. No wonder the audience loves her!

Last night’s Saturday Night Live featured their own version of Easter, which showed former president Donald Trump attending Jesus’s Last Supper.
Poking fun at Trump’s recent indictment, SNL’s opening sketch featured Jesus, played by Mikey Day, gathering his apostles for an important conversation before being overshadowed by their unexpected guest.
“One of you will betray me,” Day said as Jesus. “And though I have committed no crime, I will be arrested, tried and found guilty,” Jesus continued before Judas, played by Molly Kearney, responded in disbelief “What?” as the other apostles gasped.

Molly Shannon may not be one of the first names you think of when reflecting on "Saturday Night Live" legends, but she should be. She's one of the few cast members to see a recurring character given their own movie, and although it's not one of the late night sketch shows better big screen productions, it's hard to deny that Mary Katherine Gallagher is one of the most famous and beloved characters from the show's history.
However, those hoping to see Mary Katherine Gallagher return in the latest episode of "SNL" walked away disappointed, because the character only returned by way of two aside references rather than a full blown sketch revival. Instead, Shannon opted to bring back one of her other famous recurring bits with a little help from musical guests, the Jonas Brothers. It was one of only a few bright spots in an otherwise meandering and scattershot episode of "SNL,...

Premiering the night before Easter, the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live” opened with a serene image of the sketch show cast members sitting at a long table, perfectly costumed and positioned to parallel Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper.” But the tranquility was short-lived with the arrival of cast member James Austin Johnson, who took over the cold open by telling the story of Easter as a monologue delivered by Donald Trump.
Last week’s episode also opened with a Trump spoof after the former president was indicted by a grand jury. On April 4, Trump pled not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records. His arrest and arraignment made him the first president in U.S. history to ever be charged with a crime after leaving office. And this milestone was also addressed with this week’s cold open.

Welcome to The B-Side, from The Film Stage. Here we talk about movie stars! Not the movies that made them famous or kept them famous, but the ones they made in between.
Today we bring in the great Mitchell Beaupre to discuss our final Listener’s Choice ‘22 pick: Cameron Diaz. Our B-Sides are: The Last Supper, The Invisible Circus, The Box, and Gambit.
We chat about Diaz’s underrated range, her penchant for taking risks, the stratospheric, star-making entrance in her first movie The Mask, and the similarities she shares with recent B-Side subject Michelle Pfeiffer.
Mitchell, Conor, and I discuss how weirdly great Any Given Sundayis (and how great Diaz is in it!), how well those Charlie’s Angels movies have aged, and that whole Green Hornet moment.
For more from The B-Side, you can check out highlights of actors/directors and the films discussed in one place here.

Mark Harmon, or special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in a longtime role on CBS’s NCIS series, has signed with Gersh.
Harmon originated his Gibbs character with a guest appearance on Jag before being spun off to lead NCIS, a role he played on the CBS procedural for nearly two decades before signing off from his final case in 2021. Going into the ninth season, he was promoted to executive producer on NCIS and was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In the 11th season, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Harmon worked closely with showrunner Gary Glasberg on a special two-episode arc that reunited the Gibbs character with an old comrade working a case in New Orleans. Those episodes became the pilot for NCIS: Nola, also known as NCIS: New Orleans, with Harmon serving as executive producer on the spinoff.
