Podcast host and comedian Joe Rogan will return to stand-up in Netflix comedy special Joe Rogan: Burn the Boats, Netflix announced Tuesday. The comedy special marks Rogan’s first special on the streamer in six years. Rogan’s previous Netflix specials include 2016’s Joe Rogan: Triggered and 2018’s Joe Rogan: Strange Times.

Joe Rogan will be telling “jokes, folks, just jokes” in his first stand-up special in six years.
The controversial podcaster is launching a live special, Joe Rogan: Burn The Boats, on Netflix next month.
It marks the latest live stand-up special for the streamer, which started moving into live specials with Chris Rock last year.
The special will air on August 3 at 7pm Pt.
It marks Rogan’s third stand-up special for Netflix, having launched Triggered in 2016 and Strange Times in 2018. He also previously made Rocky Mountain High for Comedy Central as well as previous specials including Talking Monkeys In Space and Live from the Tabernacle.
It comes after Rogan, who hosts the popular The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, renewed his deal with Spotify earlier this year.

Netflix has announced it’s next Live comedy special, Joe Rogan: Burn the Boats. The renowned comedian and podcast host will be live on Netflix August 3rd at 7pm Pt / 9pm Ct / 10pm Et. This is Rogan’s third stand-up special with Netflix and the first one to shoot live. His previous Netflix comedy specials included Joe Rogan: Strange Times 2018 and Joe Rogan: Triggered in 2016. The new comedy event will film live from the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas. Joe Rogan has returned to the stand-up scene with his first comedy special in six years. The live event will stream on Netflix on August 3rd at 10 p.m. Et. Titled Joe Rogan: Burn the Boats, this is Rogan’s first live stand-up special with Netflix. Previously, the streamer has aired his specials Joe Rogan: Strange Times in 2018 and Joe Rogan: Triggered in 2016, with topics ranging from raising kids to marijuana laws to pro wrestling. The special will film live from the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas, and will be directed by Anthony Giordano. Rogan’s previous Netflix comedy specials included Joe Rogan: Strange Times 2018 and Joe Rogan: Triggered in 2016.
Netflix also released a teaser, below.
The news follows the 56-year-old Rogan re-signing his Spotify podcast deal for The Joe Rogan Experience in February for a reported $250 million. The new deal was non-exclusive, which meant that Rogan’s show can also be available on additional services such as Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and YouTube.
