Those About to Die (2024)
Why Anthony
Why Anthony Hopkins is in this show. I have no idea and I do not want to say this in a mean way, but he is definitely showing his age in this show. Every scene seems like it's lacking for acting from him. I know he's playing a old ruler emperor whatever and he's supposed to be acting feeble, I guess but it just doesn't work cause it just makes him literally an old feeble person he should come out with a Hannibal Lecter finalization final cut whatever we need a Hannibal Lecter not a aging Caesar knock off plus the whole show in general just kinda is flat. It's OK for the plot but really it's just kind of gets boring because I was binging it and falling asleep during it. It really doesn't have that much of captivating storyline. It's mostly just a typical storyline. Nothing really stands out except for maybe a bit of nudity. But that can only go so far since you yet again this is no Game of Thrones even though it has a Game of Thrones actor which I feel he's doing pretty good but every time Anthony Hopkins comes on it's just like please die and move on with this character does it make me feel bad for him or some sympathy? It's just eh.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024)
Meh
I watched half of it. It was kind of interesting, but the CGI wasn't all that great. It seems like they're trying to make the apes look like the actors in some way shape or form and for some reason, the apes were more intelligence and more civil and everything than humans were for some reason humans reverted back to what Neanderthals Caveman sorry but that don't work. I doubt there would be no real speaking more tribal more what it would be now it seems like since there are zebras they're in Africa and I'm assuming there would've been African tribes around surviving way better cause they do nowadays without modern technologies so I figured they would probably survive after the fall of man and modern society so there's a lot of holes in this plot. It's mostly a little hero journey trying to save his family and we've all seen that song and dance, but doesn't mean we have to get on the dance floor with it playing but there's really nothing captivating most of the actors in their especially the main actor. I don't even know nor have any interest In And I just can't get down with watching CGI apes acting like more human than the humans were. It seems like Hollywood is trying to dehumanize us and make animals human and humans not and try to flip the switch on us and say how does it feel so I wonder if there was actually apes that wrote The script to this whole fiasco and how does all of the people humans look basically caveman and the lead human female has basically modern clothes make up looks well groomed she should've looked rougher, but they had to put the pretty girl in and for some reason seemed like she was having a certain connection/feelings for the ape which you're trying to imply that she might want to be with the monkey I don't know if this all has a lot of confusing and downright just wrong portraying the future of the end of mankind and the upbringing of kingdom of the ape, cause it all honesty there wouldn't be a kingdom of apes. I guess that's why this is a sci-fi cause it's not real nor never gonna be real, but make it feel real like how Star Wars feels real, and Star Trek feels more real than this would ever be. Oh well I guess my thing turned into a rant but enjoy if you want to everyone's opinions are different anyways, but this will probably be good for the children because they don't know diddly squat about really anything of this whole trilogy saga thing and they'll just go look at the monkeys so it's good to entertained the easily entertained.
Knox Goes Away (2023)
Interesting
Well, like the title says it was interesting. Something different leaves you to wanting to know more of the past John Knox. It would be nice if they came out with a season of him doing some of his jobs beforehand before he was losing his memory. Al Pacino played good and old man dating a young woman like he is in real life And a bit of a twist at the end unexpected, but nicely appreciated. But like I said, I wish it was more of him in the past not now it just felt like seeing an old war horse retired and losing it. Michael Keaton is a good actor. He plays well with this very captivating a must see I gave it a five because I was able to keep watching it and not lose interest. Usually if it goes below 5 to 4 and below that means I've lost interest. I have no want to finish it so that's part of my writing scale.
Time Bandits (2024)
Give it a gander
No, I have to say this is for the 21 minutes and 34 seconds. I could already tell you it has great comedic timing. It has a good chemistry of actors. Everything flows very well even the little boy he has great potential and I could already tell that it is a good add-on to the whole time bandit saga true there is no real little people in the main cast, but we shouldn't determine a show on just who they have in the cast. There are Lisa Kudrow that's the only person I know and I've seen a few of these other individuals but not a lot but the writing is very well done and I could tell that this will be a good show for everyone.
Sausage Party: Foodtopia (2024)
Could be better
It was entertaining, but it was not needed to be eight episodes maybe should've just made it a movie or just Less episodes but it basically could've been a lot more launcher a lot more food related puns a lot more pop culture, but it was OK. I had high hopes. Yes I did finish the episodes, but I could've gone without watching all of them to get the basic just even the ending wasn't even a proper ending unless it's a cliffhanger and they're gonna come out with another season even though I feel that would be too presumptuous of them, but like I said, they should've just made a movie instead of prolonging the show I gave a five and it was generous technically I would've done a 4 1/2 I was entertained but not as entertained as a gladiator would've been to see if you get the reference good good for you.
The Big Cigar (2024)
Should've been a movie
Shouldn't have been a show it should've been a movie. There are some nice actors in there. The story is interesting, but not as good as you would hope it would be but it's entertaining for if you do not have anything else to watch that's why it is ranked almost as low as the top 20 on Apple TV there's other shows that aren't even on anymore and it's even beating it. It doesn't seem like it's close to the history. The history is vague, not a lot of people will understand this show because it's not popular history and I think they should've done a better way of showing off the black panthers and their movement instead of making this over the top movie of a movie.
The Iron Claw (2023)
Not a whole Lotta positive in this movie
Well, to begin off by saying this movie had potential to be really good. They had some good actors seemed like it was gonna lead up to a lot more interesting bout of wrestling with different well known wrestlers in the industry, but they had very little of that and they fixated more on the negative Things that happened to the family I don't even remember them showing the oldest son passing away and then all they do is cut towards the guy with the missing foot and the other brother that becomes a vegetable and then the then there's a half hour turmoil it was maybe a good hour of some action But not a lot of wrestling matches and not a lot of historical wrestling matches that they did and I felt they missed out on that just like the movie Priscilla that a 24 did as well there was some good stuff in it but really there was a lot of one-sided viewpoint and the same goes for this. It's kind of a one-sided viewpoint. It doesn't really hit a lot of other areas so this movie could've been better. It could've showcase more of the acting skills of these actors, but there is no real growth for their character to show emotion and grit, and all that.
Halo (2022)
What happened?
First season was going so good for a person who hasn't played the game as intensely as anyone else that has but knows the gist of what is going on kind of feels lost when the movie creators decide to make it more of a love movie semi action, mostly drama Film series what I have taken from the second series is not positive. They replaced the voice actress who played the original Cortana, not only in the video games, but in the cartoon series as well and last season, I feel like they took too much privilege with the creative usage of the Game and created this show that only pertains to certain people and it somewhat neglect the main demographic that would go for this show the people who grew up on the video games. They completely ignored them because if you pay attention to the comments and certain things and the consensus shows that the show is all about viewers that like to see love shows has nothing to do with video games. It has more to do with dramas love scenes and politics so I've lost interest and that's why I went from a seven in my ratings down to a four and let's be being nice because I have realized it's not all that cracked up to be now it's only for certain demographic out there. It's not for all demographics it doesn't pertain to everyone. It's not gonna check off everyone's box, which is disappointing if they had more video game vibe action and storyline then I would like it but it's just more love story drama between his people and the politics of the federation thing so that lost it bye-bye goodbye.
Chucky (2021)
One season
The first two seasons will let me put it like this. The first season was really good second season was where are you going with this and now the third season I was hoping they actually ended it with the second season because how they kept on caring on with this now it's basically like a run-on sentence. It's just going nowhere you're just trying to do new things with the White House and on top of that with the guy who plays, the president who played the priest who played the multiple parents since he doesn't get any other lead acting roles he has to put himself in this one multiple times. It seems like they need to let this Chucky saga die just like they should let the freaking saga die, and the scream saga die , you don't see no one redoing Freddy Krueger oh wait, they did it flopped they never did it again you really need to be more grit with the shows more violence more real now it's just for the kids I guess.
