Jordan Love's interception in late-game situation reminiscent of Packers loss to Steelers in 2023

The Packers offense practice a desperation situation and it didn't end well.

It was third-and-10 from the 18-yard line with 11 seconds left and the situation called for the offense needing a touchdown to tie.

Quarterback Jordan Love targeted Christian Watson at the goal line, but the receiver wasn’t looking for the football.

Eric Stokes, who is performing well in training camp after two years of injuries, undercut it for interception.

The play looked a lot like the end of the Packers' 23-19 loss to the Steelers last season. The game ended with a Love interception as well in the end zone. The Packers fell to 3-6 after the Week 10 loss on Nov. 12.

That led to the offense doing push-ups, a recurring theme during training camp.

Packers kicking battle: Greg Joseph is perfect on his kicks, while Anders Carlson misses first kick

Kicker Greg Joseph remained perfect on the day. He just went 3 for 3 (making from 41 yards, 42 yards and 54 yards).

That makes him 6 for 6 today and 22 for 24 through the first week-plus of training camp.

Meanwhile, incumbent kicker Anders Carlson had his first miss of the day. He made kicks from 42 yards and 54 yards but was wide right from 41 yards.

On his miss, the snap was high, but holder Daniel Whelan still handled it.

Carlson is 21 for 24 on his kicks in training camp.

Packers backup quarterback Sean Clifford shows off his arm talent

For all his struggles in camp, Sean Clifford has an awfully strong arm.

The second-year backup quarterback just threaded a bullet to Grant DuBose in the back of the end zone from the 8-yard line.

Cornerback Corey Ballentine slipped to allow small opening, where Clifford split the coverage.

Kicking battle between Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph heating up

Anders Carlson and Greg Joseph open today’s practice 3-3, each making an extra point and a 38-yard kick and a 48-yarder.

The Packers kicking battle is down to Carlson and Joseph after James Turner was released.

Neither are blinking yet. Both are currently 19-21 in camp.

Carlson, the Packers' sixth-round draft pick in 2023, looks to rebound from a rough first season when he led the league in missed kicks. The Packers signed the veteran Joseph this spring, one of many kickers the team brought in to compete with Carlson. Joseph, 29, spent the last three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.

Jordan Love has personalized handshakes for Packers teammates

Christian Watson goes up the ladder for touchdown

After an incompletion on a slant, Christian Watson closed his one-on-one with a towering catch over Eric Stokes on end zone fade.

Watson, coming off an injury-plagued season in 2023, is showing he's not just a speed guy.

The third-year receiver knows how to use his size too, even against a big corner.

Romeo Doubs makes impressive play over Jaire Alexander

Wide receiver Romeo Doubs had his way with Jaire Alexander as they went one-on-one, including beating the team's top cornerback on a 10-yard fade to the end zone.

The third-year player soared over Alexander to come down with a contested catch. Doubs is having some impressive reps.

Is Jordan Love's new theme song playing at Packers training camp?

Now playing on the speakers at Ray Nitschke Field: "Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours)" by Stevie Wonder.

That might be Jordan Love’s new theme song.

Love signed a four-year $220 million contract extension last weekend.
