Policy Analyst, Women's Health Policy



Karen Diep is a policy analyst for the Women’s Health Policy team at KFF. Her work focuses on the coverage, access and financial challenges facing women related to the U.S. health care system. She works closely on issues involving over-the-counter contraceptives and pharmacy access of reproductive health care. Diep also conducts analyses using survey data and other large data sets to better understand how policy developments affect women’s health at the local, state and federal level.

Prior to joining KFF, Diep was a senior research associate with NORC at the University of Chicago, where she worked on a range of health care projects related to value-based care, access to health insurance, and more.

Diep earned a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Maryland.
