SAPD investigating after man says he was shot while driving on West Side

SAN ANTONIO – A man was taken to the hospital overnight after he was shot while driving on the West Side.

San Antonio police said the shooting happened just before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A 28-year-old man told officers he was driving in the area of Chupaderas and Torreon when he saw four men standing, two on opposite sides of the street.

He believes the men started shooting at each other and he was caught in the crossfire, according to a preliminary report.

The man was struck in the arm. He drove himself to the 300 block of Pinto where he called 911. Police said his car also had bullet holes.

He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
