I'd like to elaborate on #3 Delegate Wisely. When you are managing multiple projects, and you find it draining. Delegate! Nonprofit leaders have a lot on their plate. Little time should be spent on things that are taxing to the person. I'm a firm believer in the idea that clearly communicating needs and sharing inspiration for the mission will attract the right people (volunteers, contractors, or staff) to fill key roles in an organization.
